Happy New Year to all of our students, dancing friends and families
It was a very busy end to the year at Surrey Dance Addicts with competitions, medals, performances and parties galore! Thanks for a fab year and all the festive fun!
Our last competition of the year was Canvey Island where every student came home with a final placing! The level of dancing from our pupils was outstanding!
We also had our busiest ever medal test with our wonderful examiner Jackie Conway. we were also joined by Big Image photography for a photo shoot and Jackie gave a fabulous lecture to the children, which was funded by fundraising efforts earlier in the year!
We ended November by performing at Epsom's Christmas light switch on, and despite the rain and a small electrical hitch (saved by Alfie!) We stole the show and the dancers were fabulous! A big well done to the girls who danced solo!
December brought 3 Christmas parties, the first of which was our family Christmas ball. We had real snow, a photographer and an amazing show by Mark and Maddie. Everyone really went to town with the formal dress code and you all looked stunning! 100% pass rate for the medal presentation (of course!) and a special mention to our Examiner's Choice Trophy winners Caitlin and Tilly - well deserved girls! and well done to everyone for their amazing marks! Another special mention to our Tuesday Adults Class who all did their first medals and loved the experience! Our Adult Xmas dance was also a huge success and much bigger than we anticipated! Thank you everyone for your donations we ate and drank very well!
2020 is already looking busy with a medal competition every month - The fist in Herne Bay in January and we are rally excited to have been invited to perform in Kristina Rihanoff's Dance to the Music at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill in Feb (message us for ticket info!)
